Rev. Eddie Nutt
( Farm sounds and then a truck pulling up and stopping, door closing and moos)
( Farmer pulling Elsie the cow enters)
Farmer: Come on Elsie. You will like your new home.
Elsie: MOOO!
Farmer: Now get in the pen. ( other animals enter)I have to run in the house. I ‘ll
be right back. Go ahead and meet your new friends.
( Animals walk up to and around Elsie)
Elsie: Evening ya’ll. I am Elsie. I am glad to make your acquaintance.
Sheep: (sniffing her) Elsie, they should call you “smellsie” PEEYOU!
Dog: You are fine one to talk, you smell so bad, I could find you with my eyes
closed!
Chicken: Will you two stop. We have company. I apologize for these two , they do
not know how to behave in front of visitors.
Elsie: Oh, I am not company. I am Red Cedar farms newest resident!
All animals; WHAT ?!
Elsie: Yea, the farmer just bought me, I am here to stay.
Sheep: Well we don’t want you here!
Dog: That’s right, no cows allowed!
Chicken: Please don’t be offended. It’s not you, we just don’t like cows at all.
Elsie: ( hanging her head) Oh, I am sorry. ( walking away)
Sheep: Come on guys let’s finish our game of leap frog.
Dog; ( looking at the audience) Of course we don’t use real frogs. Because we don’t
like them either. Too many warts!
Chicken: YUK! ( add chicken bekak! After)
( game begins, dog jumps over, pig, chicken jumps over dog, pig and then lands with his head caught in the fence)
Chicken; Help! Help! I’m stuck. My life is flashing before my eyes.
Sheep: ( to dog) Help him!
Dog; What am I suppose to do?
Sheep; Grab him by the feet and pull!
Dog: Are you kidding me? Have you seen what his feet look like?!
Chicken: Come on Guys. We have been friends for years. Help me.
Sheep: Just hold on a minute, we are working on it!
Dog: Yea, just a minute!
Chicken; OH I AINT GONNA MAKE IT! ELIZABETH I AM COMING TO JOIN
YOU HONEY!
(Elsie reenters)
Elsie: Hold on. ( grabbing him by the feet and pulls him free, big Pop sound) There!
Chicken: Thanks …..pal.
Elsie: You are welcome.
Chicken: Why did you help me, we were mean to you?
Elsie: The Bible tells us the story about the Good Samaritan who stops to help
someone in need. No one else would stop to help and he knew that he should
help others, just like Jesus did.
Sheep; We are sorry chicken.
Dog: Yea, if we read our Bibles more often, then we would have done the right thing
too.
Elsie: Just remember, Jesus helped others and we should be Good Samaritans too.
